On Sunday, youth player Gareth Norman competed at the Welsh U20 open, and after fighting hard took a bronze medal in the over 90kgs category.

Gareth had some top class competition in his group and found himself up against three British Judo National Squad players - including the British representatives from the 2007 Youth Olympics and the Junior World Championships.

While these players were able to beat him on the day Gareth put up a good fight and showed that training and hard work he was putting in was definitely paying off.
