Visit From Former Kin Ryu Member 26th September 2007 On Wednesday 26th September 2007, we were pleased to be visited by former Kin Ryu member Steven Trigwell. Steven and his wife were members of Kin Ryu back in the early 80's, when Mick was a 5th dan, in the old Crawley leisure center. They gave up the sport when they moved to the California in 1984, as judo seemed not to be as popular over there, and new things took their interest. However, since moving to Florida, Steven finally retook it back up, a mere 22 years from where he left off. He has regained the enthusiasm that he once enjoyed, and is finding his age not too much of a problem in the sport. (His words!!) He is currently a 4th kyu (green belt USJA), planning to test for his brown belt (no blue in USJA) before Christmas. On a business trip to England, he stopped by at K2; finding us and following our news via the web. He still has fond memories of the Kin Ryu trip to the Gothenburg Judo club in Sweden back in '82, which included Dick Grigg. "Man, how time flies........." www.KinRyu.org.uk
