All British Judo Association Clubs must have a Club Welfare Officer.

Part of their role is to assist the club to fulfil its responsibilities to safeguard children and young people at the club.

The Welfare Officer, along with one of the Club's Senior Coaches (Martin Rivers), have also attended the following workshops:

• Sports Coach UK's "Good Practice and Child Protection"
• NSPCC's "A Time to Listen"
