KIN RYU JUDO CLUB
Junior Grades BJA
Promotion within the Mon grades is based on technical knowledge and understanding, together with Japanese terminology and supplementary knowledge.
There is no contest requirement in the Mon Grade syllabus however there is a progressively structured randori (Free-Practice demonstration) element at the higher grades, where at the highest level, randori is based on open skills.
There are eighteen junior BJA grades, called "MONS". These are for all children, from 8 up to 16 years of ages.
